Bhavnagar : 31 killed In Truck Accident At Bhavnagar Ahmedabad Highway
Today in truck accident at Randhola on Bhavnagar highway 31 people were killed and 29 injured.
The accident took place in morning at 6:30 am at Randhola in which 31 people of Koli community were killed including bride groom’s father Pravinbhai Vaghela and his mother.
Truck fell from the bridge in a creek.
The truck was carry a group of people going for marriage. Truck was carrying more than 60 people. It was on the way to Tatum of Gadhda from Andia of Palitana.
Bride groom was going in a separate car which ahead of ill fated truck. Bride groom was not informed of the gruesome incident till he got married and having lost his parents in the accident.
Even PM Narendra Modi expressed grief on the incident.
21 Injured have been shifted to Sir T hospital of Bhavnagar in 108 Ambulance. 8 injured are said to be serious.
Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was shocked to know about the incident and assured all the help to injured and family of accident victims. CM announced ex gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to accident victims. He has ordered an enquiry in the case. Gujarat government will borne expense of treatment to patients in the case.
Gujarat BJP President Jitu Vaghani and Bhupendrasinh Chudasma visited hospital to enquire on health of injured.
Tribute in Gujarat Assembly was given by maintaining silence for few minutes.
Bhavnagar Collector announced relief to family of accident victims.
