Today again, meeting between Patidar leaders and Gujarat ministers including Nitin Patel and others have remained unconclusive.
Patel said we have heard 4 groups of people and are trying to compile their demand and suggestions. We will submit the report to Gujarat Chief Minster Anandiben Patel on Patidars demand. We assure best efforts to work towards improvement of condition of Patidars in Gujarat with better education and employment. Government has also shown readiness to announce Financial Relief Package in place of reservation.
In a latest development in Ahmedabad, 5 Patidar leaders including Ketan Patel, Hardik Patel and others have started fasting at Sabarmati Riverfront as AMC, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Ahmedabad Police have not given permission to hold rally by Patidars at Sabarmati Riverfront on 25th August. AMC has said that they can take actions against fasting leaders.
Hardik Patel, SPG reacting on Lalji Patel’s remarks that I am always with Patidars have never opposed Lalji Patel.
Also, Patidar rallies were held at Surat, Aravalli, Talaja, Prantij, Modasa, Patan and Kutch. Aravalli rally started from Umiya temple where more than 10,000 patidars took part. Patan rally started from SN High School.
In Surat Patidar leaders met Gujarat government, who demanded 27 % quota in Gujarat.
