In Ahmedabad, Gold and Silver traders and Jewellers of Manek Chowk Jewellery Market will observe bandh tomorrow. Gold and Silver traders of CG Road will join them.
More than 8000 traders and Jewellers will join Manek Chowk Bandh in protest of sealing 40 silver gold units in Khadia, Raipur and Manek Chowk by AMC officials yesterday.
The sealed furnace and units did not possess license from Gujarat Provision Municipal Act.
In response to PIL Public Interest Litigation no 350/2013 Gujarat High Court had issued oral orders to taken legal actions against illegal furnace and permanently seal them considering environmental hazards and public health concerns.
