In wake of recent atrocities in Una, a PIL Public Interest Litigation has been filed in Gujarat High Court today. In PIL, it is requested to Government its policy or circular on skinning dead animals in the state. Questions have been raised on upliftment of Dalits in the state. Demand for justice to Dalits have been made in the PIL.
Post atrocities on Dalits in Una, comprehensive protest in entire state by Dalits were made, also a Dalit Mahasammlen was held in Ahmedabad on Sunday 31st July 2016. The issue had nationwide impact and many leaders visited Una.
