Ahmedabad celebrates week long Flower Show; 3 lakh plants on display

From today people of Ahmedabad will be able to take advantage of 4th edition of the annual Ahmedabad Flower Show held at the Sabarmati Riverfront. Shankar Chaudhary, Gujarat Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare will inaugurate the week long show which would end on January 8. Over three lakh flower plants and other vegetation will be exhibited in the show.  More than 750 types of flowers, vegetables, fruits, Bonsai plants and other vegetation will be on display at the show.  In previous edition there were an estimated 1 million footfalls. The area of show has been increased to 65 thousand square meter this year. The show will remain open for the public between 10 am to 9 pm every day. The Flower Show is held on the riverfront between Sardar bridge and Ambedkar bridge towards western side in Paldi area. It is jointly organised by the AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and the Agriculture and Co-operation department of the Government of Gujarat.
