Today Gandhinagar, it was decided to built Airport at Rajpipla to increase traffic of tourists visiting SOU Statue of Unity at Rajpipla of Narmada. The airport will cater to rush at SOU of tourists across India and globally.
A meeting between Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani and Guruprasad Mohapatra Chairman of AAI Airports Authority of India was held.
Gujarat government will seek help from AAI in building Airport at Rajkot, Dholera and Rajpipla.
Dholera airport will be developed as New Ahmedabad Airport and international air services will be extended to it.

2,500 acres of land has been allotted for Rajkot aiport and a lease between Gujarat government and AAI , MOU , memorandum of agreement has been signed for 99 years.
Airport construction work will commence by December this year. Also, state government has a plan to lift Dholera Sir project.
