Today during the meeting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence at 7 race course road about decision of the trustee to Shri Shree Somnath Trust. The meeting was also attended by chairman Shri Keshubhai Patel and trustee Shri L K Advani. BJP national president Amit Shah was inducted as a trustee , which takes care of the administration of the historic Somnath temple of Gujarat and other temples and surrounding area. Former chief minister of Gujarat Keshubhai Patel was retained as the chairman of Shree Somnath Trust for one more year. Somnath temple which is deemed the first among 12 jyotirlingas of lord Shiva, Amit Shah, a regular visitor of the temple was unanimously chosen as a new trustee against the two vacant positions for trustees. No decision for the second trustee was taken during the meeting. Other issues concerning to the temple trust and tourism in Saurashtra region of the state were taken up in the meeting.
