Toady, Defense Minister, Arun Jaitley, is on his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir to assess the security situation along Line of Control. Jaitley is on two day visit to Kashmir. He is accompanied by Indian army Chief General Bikram Singh.He will meet army officers in Valley in wake of ceasefire violations along LoC by Pakistani troops in Poonch district recently.
Jaitley,said that Indian Army was capable enough to retort to cease-fire violations by Pakistani troops.
Omar Abdullah,Chief Minister,J&K enquired the timing of ceasefire violation, linking it to Jaitley’s arrival.
The Defence Minister will also chair a unified headquarters meeting with the top brass of Indian police, Army, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies in attendance.
