On Tuesday Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, a popular and self styled spiritual leader, allegedly shot himself in Indore at his residence in Silver Springs.
Bhayyuji left a suicide note, as he was suffering from depression and felt stressed out. He was accorded status of a minister by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in MP Madhya Pradesh.
“Some body should be there to handle duties of family. I am leaving to much stressed out, fed up ,” Bhaiyyu Maharaj wrote in the two-line note available to Indore police.
He acted as a mediator during the 2011 anti-corruption campaign led by Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal.
