Today while playing on home ground in first test match between India and England on day 3, Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara scored a century with 124 runs.
Pujara sets new record of an Indian batsman with highest strike rate of 69.78 scored more than 1000 runs in test match. Pujara left behind Vijay Hazare with strike rate of 69.56 and Mohammad Azharuddin with strike rate of 55.93.
After chasing a total of 537 runs of England in 159.3 overs India were at 319/4 at stumps in 108.3 overs.
