Due to continued Cyclone Maha effect at Botad in Gujarat state. One NDRF National Disaster Response Force team of 35 members has reached Botad and Porbandar started rescue operations at Kundal village. Porbanadar fire brigade ready with rescue boats. Two NDRF teams kept reserved at Vadodara and Gandhinagar. State administration warned people to keep away from sea coast. More than 10,000 people shifted to safer places.
NDRF team is well equipped to meet any type of eventuality due to adverse weather conditions.
