Well known news reader Neelum Sharma 50 associated with DD News, DoorDarshan News, for more than 20 years died today. Neelum had done quite a few popular shows on DD News including Badi Charcha- audience based show, Tejaswini- a show on women empowerment.
She was conferred with many prestigious awards like Nari Shakti Award by President of India, KPS Gill Fearless Journalist Award, Nari Abaadi Award, DD Best Anchor Awards twice ( First and Tenth).
She graduated from Lady Sri Ram College for Women. Professionally trained in journalism for IIMC and MCRC Jamia Milia University.
