Today on May 18 it was announced that 3 seats for MP Member of Parliament from Gujarat would be for vacant seats of Rajya Sabha. Three MPs include Ahmed Patel, Union Minister Smriti Irani and Dilip Pandya.

Ahmed Patel was inducted into the Rajya Sabha for his fourth term. Term of Smriti Irani is coming to end by July-August this year and term of Dilip Pandya is coming to an end by 18th August 2017. Elections for 3 MPs of Rajya Sabha would be held. As per source.
