Gujarat government has announced free text books for 4 subjects to students of Class 9, 11 and 12 with science stream. Distribution of Free text books from schools will start from today and will be over by next week. 27,000 students of Gujarat from Ahmedabad urban and rural will be able to get benefit of Free Text Books in new semester.
Education officer stated that distribution of text books have started and will be over by November end. As Diwali vacation in schools is over, distribution of books to municipal schools have started.
Government had announced about Free Text Books and scholarships to students. distribution of books has started as a part of the announcement. Till now Free Text Books were given to SC, ST and Baxi panch students but now will be given to other students in general category with science of Class 9, 11 and 12. To avoid complains in books distribution, the actio has been taken in advance.
13,000 students from Gujarat and English medium of Class 9 and 14,000 students from both the medium of Class 11 and 12 are covered for Free Text Books. Class 9 students will get books of Maths and Science and Class 11, 12 students will gets books of Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
