Deputy Secretary MJ Patel of Gujarat government has made a notification empowering prohibition officers to provide permit for liquor to Gujarati film makers in Gujarat.
Incentives by government will be liquor permit to entire unit of Bollywood/ Tellywood, 50 % discount on stay at Toran Hotel, exemption from charge on shooting and free police security.
In this case, film makers need not come to Gandhinagar for liquor permit. The same policy will be applied in all notified areas, as per sources.
