Today finance minister and deputy chief minister Gujarat government proposed Tax friendly Budget for FY 2019-29, no new announcement for Industries SME and Agricuture. No new taxes were proposed in state budget. FM Patel stated that due to preparation of upcoming general elections no new proposals were made for the current year. Interim Budget lasting for 4 months till 31st July 2019. Modified budget with financial requirements of current year will be put up for approval.
Full Fledge Budget to be presented in June 2019.

AGRICULTURE PROJECTS IN INTERIM BUDGET
In FY 2019-20 proposals worth Rs.1.54 lakh crores made against proposals of previous FY 2018-19 worth Rs 1.40 lakh crores. Income towards revenue collection is estimated to be Rs 1 lakh crores.
Agriculture and Social Welfare were give due weight age in the budget. No new projects or schemes for SME were highlighted in the current budget.
Gujarat Government announced 50 % increase in Old Age Pension by enhancing their monthly pension from Rs. 500 to Rs. 750 benefiting 7.5 lakhs elderly citizens in state.
