Today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat government plans to make Gujarat “kerosene-free” by providing LPG gas connections to 33 lakhs odd Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, it was officially announced. While confirming the developments, Chhatrasinh Mori Gujarat Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies said that a proposal has been made in this regard by his department. “As per our proposal, we wish to make Gujarat a kerosene-free state by providing LPG connections to around 33 lakh BPL famalies, who get their quota of kerosene from fair price shops on their ration card”, Mori said.
