Gujarat: stringent prohibition laws to be enforced; In Ahmedabad 64 Hookah Bars closed

Gujarat government  has strengthen  laws pertaining to prohibition in the state by putting ban on Hookah Bar by passing an ordinance. Provision of jail term upto 3 years and penalty of Rs 50,000 have been introduced said Law Minister of Gujarat Pradipsinh Jadeja.

In Ahmedabad 64 and at other places 14 Hookah Bars have been closed. Jail term upto 10 years to bootleggers  and penalty of 5  lakhs. Jail term upto 3 years for causing disturbance/fight after consuming liquor, 7 years of jail term to official helping bootleggers escape and 5 years of jail for hampering investigation or attack on official by bootlegger.
