Former Minister of Communication and Information Technology in Congress-led UPA Government Kapil Sibal will represent Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convener Hardik Patel in the SC sedition case today. Hardik’s advocate BM Mangukia said that certain sections have still not removed against the PAAS convener in sedition case and hence an application has been filed with the SC where the Congress leader and noted lawyer Sibal will appear in the hearing for Patel withdout taking any Fees.
According to Mangukia sedition case has not been withdrawn completely against his client and pro-quota leader Hardik Patel. Meanwhile in a case to give inflammatory speech, the Metropolitan Court in Ahmedabad sent PAAS convener Hardik Patel in Judicial Custody on Tuesday. The police has taken him to Sabarmati Jail following the court order. Defending himself Hardik told the court that despite taking further two days remand, police didn’t interrogate him. Following a mega rally on August 25th in Ahmedabad, chaotic situation was created in parts of Gujarat and Patidars came on roads demanding reservation in education and Government jobs under OBC category.
