Party Loyalists sidelined over Winning candidates in Gujarat Election
In Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017, dates for two phase of election have been announced. Congress and BJP parties are applying full force to regain and retain the power in state assembly election.
Considering OBC, Patidar and migrated MLAs and presently strong candidates.
Party loyalists who had really worked for the better of party. List of candidates were released in multiple iterations.
There were protest by BJP and Congress MLAs and their supporters at Kamalam and Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan. Some people directly approached party high command, some wrote letters to party president and a few prospective candidates expressed anger on media on not getting ticket, ticket to wrong candidate and ticket not of choice to family members.
Gujarat politics was burdened with ticket politics which was full of partiality, alleged corruption, caste factor etc.
From BJP stalwarts IK Jadeja, Bharat Pandya, Jagdish Bhavsar, Jagruti Pandya, Dr Rutvij Patel, Amit Thakar Rajika Kachireia, Narhari Amin, Gordhan Zadafia and Harshad Patel, and many other, from Congress Manish Doshi, Himanshu Patel, Jayrajsinh Parmar and Kailash Gadhvi were sidelined in the race of awarding ticket.
Patidar influence was seen in Gujarat Election with 50 tickets out of 182 seats.
Majority candidates have been repeated against No Repeat Theory. Age criteria of 75 has been overlooked in case Narayan Lalu and Vallabh Kakadiya.
BJP has awarded tickets to 13 female and Congress had awarded only 10 tickets to women candidates. No Muslim candidates are awarded ticket by either party in the election.
Party preferentially selected strong candidates over party loyalist candidates.
Prospective candidates are persuaded in the name of party strategy or decision of high command in the prevailing fierce fight among crucial Gujarat Election.
