Today, actor Salman Khan was granted permission from Bombay High Court to perform at an award ceremony to be held on May 29 in Dubai. Salman had filed plea to visit Dubai last week.
Salman is out on bail after being convicted in a 2002 hit-and-runcase, needs to seek the court’s permission every time he wants to leave the country. On May 6, he was convicted by the Mumbai Sessions Court for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and sentenced to five years in jail and on May 8 the High Court granted him bail and suspended his sentence pending the hearing and disposal of his appeal against the conviction.
