Today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela has criticised PM Modi’s launch of SAUNI project in Jamnagar. Vaghela called the event as political stunt of inter linking 6 rivers, he added that similar stunt was done at Siddhpur-Narmada by filling up a pond with plastic base and float boats in it.
Many saints were invited at the site. The speech at that time was termed as Mahasangam at Siddhpur to bring Narmada water in Siddhpur. Likewise PM has a plan to bring Narmada water through escape route into 6 rivers and call it as inter-linking of rivers.
