Gulzar-directed film ‘Libaas‘,remained unreleased in theatres for 26 years, has once again found itself in the midst of a controversy with the film’s producers objecting to the movie being screened as part of the ongoing 45th International Film Festival of India (Iffi) in Goa on November 22 International Film Festival of India (IFFI) organisers for screening the film during 45th film festival in Goa.
Film’s producers demands an unconditional apology from the I&B ministry for screening the film and has sought the return of the print which is in the possession of thedirectorate of film festivals’.
Libaas casts stars including Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Raj Babbar, Utpal Dutt and Annu Kapoor.
