After playing the quintessential Bollywood hero in charttoppers like ‘Student of the Year’, ‘Main Tera Hero’ and ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’, Varun Dhawan is headed to reveal his dark side to the world with Shriram Raghavan’s thriller Badlapur. After hard-hitting posters, the makers of the film are here with the teaser of the film. This is the first film which will have Varun leave behind his romcom image. Varun dons the older look from the film . He will be essaying the character of Raghu, who ages from 18 years to 40 years through the course of the film. Not only is Varun moving into an arena of grim and dark cinema with Badlapur, he will also be playing a father for the first time on screen!
The teaser makes one wonder how the transition from ‘Badlapur’ to ‘ABCD 2′ was for Varun, which was being shot simultaneous. Going by how intense the poster is we can tell that this film will be a break away from everything Varun has played on reel so far.
