Anandiben Patel named as new Chief Minister of Gujarat; Narendra Modi resigns

Today, in a special Assembly Session grand farewell was bid to BJP’s Prime Minister nominee, who resigned as Gujarat Cheif Minister. With resignation of Narendra Modi as Guajrat Chief Minister., name of Anandiben Patel was recommended. Anandiben Patel was greeted by Modi himself and other cabinet ministers. BJP high command has shown faith in Anandiben as Modi’s successor in Gujarat. Modi said he has full confidence in Anandiben. Modi led Gujarat for 4609 days.

Formerly, Anandiben Patel was a Revenue Minister in Gujarat Minstry. With her becoming Chief Minister, Anandiben creates record of first women Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Speaking on the occasion Anandiben said, I will try to fulfill responbility given to me. Modi congratulated Anandiben on becoming Chief Minister. She became emotional on getting her name announced as CM of Gujarat.

Narendra Modi handed over his resignation as Gujarat CM to Governor Kamla Beniwal earlier today.
