Maharashtrian Food Festival “Assal Flavors of Maharashtra” celebrated in Ahmedabad

For a city fresh out of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the “Assal Flavors of Maharashtra”- an authentic Marathi food festival hosted by Courtyard by Marriottt, Ahmedabad is all set to spring in surprise for the food connoisseurs of Ahmedabad. Once again, the touch of Maharashtra will dominate the kitchens of Courtyard by Marriott starting from 16th September to 2nd October, 2016. For those who appreciate the whole flavors of regional meals, Konkani, Kolhapuri and Malvani cuisine will be laid down at the festival. The rustic whole spices, sweetness of jaggery, the zing of kokum and the pungency of thick, roasted masala spiced up with a touch of coconut and the crunch of cashew will be the essence of ‘Assal Flavors of Maharashtra’.

“We are back with ‘Assal Flavours of Maharashtra’ again this season. Continuing with the tradition of bringing different flavours from across the country, this festival will be an extended celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi for the food lovers. The ingredients are authentic to Maharashtra and so are the flavours. The menu has been handpicked to perfection by our executive Chef Limaye while he delves into the different cooking styles of varied regions of the state. Executive Chef Aniruddha Limaye is adding to the excitement, rustling up authenticity and twists in tastes at Momo Café. It could be a cosy early evening nibble or a lavish dinner with friends and family, there is option galore to pick from. For those who enjoy their salads, bhaji, usal and vegetables, Kokum Sorbet, Solkadi and Masala Taak, Khamang kakdi, Aluchi wadi and Mirchi cha techa matches pace with Bharleli vangi, Batatya chi bhaji, Flower watana and Lal bhoparachi bhaji.
