“Save Democracy – Save Constitution” campaign by Congress in India

India is facing an unprecedented attack from BJP on democratic values. In one state after another, BJP is trying to topple democratically elected governments by using money, intimidation and constitutional framework. Nation is under innumerable difficulties and BJP is trying to topple governments. In the same way that the BJP toppled democratically elected Congress government in Madhya Pradesh amid Covid-19 pandemic, same tactics are used to Congress ruled government in Rajasthan, which has won worldwide praising for successfully fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda, opposition leader Paresh Dhanani sharply react on BJP’s tactics to topple Congress ruled governments in MP and Rajasthan.

Protest was made by Amit Chavda, Paresh Dhanani, Nishith Vyas, Gyasuddin Sheikh, Imran Khedawala and other partymen from Gujarat Congress in Gandhinagar.

In this connection, Congress party has decided to stage protest against Raj Bhavans in all states across the country with the slogan “Save Democracy – Save Constitution”. Accordingly, in Gujarat also, Congress would stage protest on Monday 27th July, 2020 at 11.00 am at Gandhinagar.

Protesting Congress leaders were detained by Gandhinagar police.

TamilNadu Congress chief KS Alagiri along with party leaders and workers stage a protest near Governor’s office in Chennai under their ‘Save Democracy and Save Constitution’ campaign.

In Uttar Pradesh at Lucknow, Congress leaders, including UP Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu, AICC General Secretary in-charge of Chhattisgarh, PL Punia, were detained, while protesting in front of Raj Bhavan.
