Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Chapter of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) has announced the appointment of Usha Jaiswal as its Chairperson for the year 2026–27. She takes over from outgoing Chairperson Madhu Banthia, continuing the organisation’s legacy of empowering women across sectors. FLO Ahmedabad, a part of the FICCI Ladies Organisation, plays a vital role in promoting women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and professional development. The chapter has consistently worked towards creating opportunities, building networks, and supporting women-led enterprises through various initiatives and programs.
Taking forward this vision, Usha Jaiswal aims to strengthen the organisation’s efforts by focusing on capacity building among women entrepreneurs. Her approach emphasizes making women more capable and confident in managing businesses, while increasing awareness about government schemes designed to support women-led enterprises. She also highlighted the importance of MSME registration for women associated with FICCI, as it provides access to structured growth, funding opportunities, and policy benefits. Addressing financial awareness, Jaiswal stressed that transparency in income and proper tax practices are essential for sustainable business growth, adding that hiding income is not a viable long-term solution.
Sharing her thoughts on the new role, she said, “I have learnt a great deal from my benchmarks and experiences over the years. Now, it is time for more women to step forward, take leadership roles, and build their own identity.” She further added, “It is an honour to take on this responsibility and contribute towards strengthening FLO’s initiatives in women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact.”
Professionally, Jaiswal is the founder of AVENUE 79, a concept store dealing in multidesigner clothing , interntions brands home decor ,& a cafe in Ahmedabad. She is also actively involved in social initiatives and various business forums. With this new leadership, FLO Ahmedabad is set to further expand its impact by empowering more women to participate actively in the economic and entrepreneurial landscape.
