Today IMPPA The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association has announced a ban on Pakistan actors and technicians from working in India, as per ANI reported. IMPPA passed a “resolution” announcing the ban, which is expected to stay “until normalcy returns. The move came after Surgical strike by Indian Army on militant targets in Pakistan across LoC on Wednesday to kill terrorists who were suspected to infiltrate into Indian territory. There have been calls from certain right wing political outfits like the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) recently, to prohibit Pakistani artistes from working in India as tensions rise between the two countries in the wake of a militant attack in Uri that led to 18 army casualties. As per media sources Pakistan actor Fawad Khan might not return to India for the premiere of his upcoming film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” amid rising hostilities between the two countries.
