Today Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a new Infosys development centre at GIFT City in Gandhinagar. Established with an investment of Rs 32 crores, the centre aims to hire over 1,000 Professionals and will aim on fintech solutions leveraging artificial intelligence, data analytics, blockchain, and cloud technologies. The facility is designed to deliver advanced digital infrastructure and develop AI Artificial Intelliegnce-powered tools for global financial institutions, including solutions for Digital Payments, Smart Contracts, and Asset Tokenization.

Chief Minister Patel highlighted Gujarat’s commitment to building a robust AI ecosystem and transitioning India into a knowledge-based economy. He also stressed the state’s focus on emerging sectors like AI, semiconductors, and electronics. Infosys CEO Jayesh Sanghrajka highlighted company’s 40-year legacy, its global presence in 56 countries, and its recognition as a top workplace, particularly for women. The inauguration adds to GIFT City’s growing stature as a tech-financial hub, already hosting giants including Cognizant, Bank of America, Google, and IBM. This growth aligns with Gujarat’s IT/ITeS policy 2022–2027, which aims to consolidate the state’s information technology ecosystem and create 1 lakh Direct Jobs in the sector.
