on August 2, 2025 that Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel presided over a ceremony honoring 118 Gujarat Police officers and personnel with prestigious medals (President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service) during the Chandrak Alankaran Samaroh at the Police Training Academy in Karai, Gandhinagar.
The 118 recipients included officers serving between 2022 and 2025, such as Additional DGs of Police, Inspector Generals, Deputy IGs, and Superintendents of Police. The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service is awarded for 25 years of exemplary duty, while the Police Medal for Meritorious Service recognizes 18 years of outstanding performance.
