As of December 2025 on the Dholera International Airport (near Dholera) Gujarat will be available for flight operations.
It is confirmed by India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation, Phase 1 of the airport is expected to be completed by December 2025, with no deadline extensions announced.The airport infrastructure currently including a fully constructed 3,200‑metre runway, associated taxiways and apron areas—ready for testing as of mid‑2025. A cargo terminal reported complete and scheduled to commence cargo operations by December 2025.
Construction is progressing swiftly on the passenger terminal building and ATC tower, with completion planned as part of Phase 1. Cargo operations should begin around December 2025, with domestic and international freight handling capabilities coming online. Passenger services (commercial flights for individuals) will likely not yet be operational by December 2025; they are expected to launch in 2026, possibly in early to mid‑2026, once the passenger terminal and regulatory approvals are finalized.Future capacity for Phase 1 will be around 1.5 million passengers per year, with plans eventually scaling to 50 million passengers once full development is complete (later phases) .
