Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken an important decision to give a special gift to teachers who have received the Best Teacher Award at the state and national level.
According to this decision, teachers awarded as Best Teachers at the state or national level will be entitled to lifetime free travel in all buses of the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (ST) — both within Gujarat and on interstate routes where ST services operate.
This benefit will apply to around 957 state and national award-winning teachers so far, and will also extend to those who may receive the Best Teacher Award at the state or national level in the future.
