Ahmedabad, 29th September, 2025: Smt SR Mehta Arts College, which is part of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, recently organised a visit for its National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers to Laxmidham Vriddhashram. The old age home houses at least 20 senior citizens. The event was coordinated by NSS Programme officers, Dr Nayana Chudasama and Dr Tejani Munshi. Principal Dr Darsha Jani also accompanied the team.
Residents of the old age home were served a wholesome meal, sponsored by the NSS Department of the college. The volunteers personally served food, interacted with the elderly, and sought their blessings.
On this occasion, the volunteers also took an oath never to send their own parents or grandparents to an old age home in the future.
