For devotees planning to visit Mata Vaishno Devi on the occasion of the New Year, this is important news. Considering the heavy rush of pilgrims every year, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has introduced a major change in the yatra rules. According to the Board, this decision has been taken to make the pilgrimage safer and more convenient for devotees.
As per the new rules, pilgrims must now begin their yatra within 10 hours of receiving the RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) card. In addition, after completing the darshan, it will be mandatory to return to the Katra base camp within 24 hours. These rules have been implemented with immediate effect.
