Ahmedabad, 01st January, 2026: The Cyber Club of Prin MC Shah Commerce College, which is part of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges in Ahmedabad, recently organised a series of inter-college competitions. The event was organised in association with Cyber Security Awareness and Creative Hand Holding (CAWACH) Kendra, Education Department, Government of Gujarat.

Inter-college competitions such as Essay Writing, Poster Making, Collage Making, Quiz, and Rangoli were conducted on relevant cyber awareness topics. Students from different colleges actively participated and demonstrated creativity, knowledge, and social responsibility.

Dr Piyush Patel, registrar of Gujarat University remained present as the chief guest of the event. The Principal of Prin MC Shah Commerce College, Dr ND Shah, delivered the welcome address, during which he spoke about the importance of cyber awareness among students in today’s digital era.

This was followed by an address by the Cyber Club Coordinator, Prof Dr Margi Desai, who spoke about the objectives of the Cyber Club and the role of CAWACH Kendra in promoting cyber safety and responsible digital behaviour among students and faculty members of the institute.

The chief guest, Dr Patel encouraged students to use technology wisely while being vigilant about cyber threats and turn to safe cyber practices.
The day-long competitive events culminated with a valedictory ceremony and a prize distribution. The winners and runners-up of the competitions were felicitated during the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The winners included Qureshi Aisha Imranbhai (Essay Writing), Mevada Helly (Poster Making), Dave Maitri (Collage Making), Solanki HarshrajsinhSurendrasinh (Quiz), and Parmar Leena (Rangoli), along with deserving runners-up from various colleges.
Participants from various institutes shared their feedback and experiences about the event and appreciated Prin MC Shah Commerce College for creating a platform for them to showcase their creativity and awareness related to cyber security themes. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof DB Bandhiya, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers, participants, judges, and supporting staff.
