Emraan Hashmi and ‘Taskaree’ Cast Enjoy Uttarayan Festivities in Ahmedabad

13 January 2026 Ahmedabad : The cast of Netflix’s upcoming customs-themed entertainer series “Taskaree: The Smugglers Web” added a splash of glamour and excitement to Ahmedabad’s International Kite Festival 2026 as they joined the vibrant Uttarayan celebrations at the Sabarmati Riverfront.

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, along with Zoya Afroz, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Nandish Singh Sandhu, was accorded a warm welcome in the city. The actors participated in the festive spirit by flying a specially designed ‘Taskari’ kite, blending the energy of the series with Gujarat’s most iconic cultural celebration.

Against the backdrop of a sky filled with colourful kites and the infectious cheer of “Kai Po Che”, the cast interacted with fans and festival-goers, soaking in the unique energy of Ahmedabad. The lively atmosphere of Uttarayan seamlessly merged with the world of Taskari, which offers a contrasting yet compelling narrative of India’s airspace—where customs officials remain vigilant against smuggling operations and safeguard the nation.

While the festival celebrates freedom, colour, and joy in the skies, “Taskaree: The Smugglers Web” highlights a lesser-seen reality unfolding above—one of surveillance, strategy, and high-stakes enforcement.
