Gandhinagar, March 09, 2026: Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University celebrated International Women’s Day recently, with a series of awareness sessions, interactive activities and student engagement initiatives organised by its Women Development Cell (WDC) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).

The programme, which was organised at the university’s seminar hall, brought together some 137 participants, including 77 female students and some 60 female faculty members from various institutes of the university.
Mrs Jaimini Dave,MarketingRepresentative ,Whisper, remained present as the chief guest at the event. She delivered a welcome address speaking about women’s health and hygiene awareness. A set of hygiene kits were also distributed to participants as part of the initiative.

Mrs Nikita Jain, MD, Global and Women Entrepreneurship Cell, also attended the event as the guest speaker and shared insights on women’s empowerment and the importance of creating supportive ecosystems for women in education and professional spaces. Several members of the Women Development Cell also introduced the objectives and initiatives of the cell while outlining the significance of International Women’s Day.
A cake-cutting ceremony, some interactive games and other activities were also part of the celebration. The idea behind the initiative was to encourage awareness about women’s health, encourage discussions around equality and empowerment and foster a supportive and inclusive environment within the university.
