Ahmedabad, March 12, 2026: A biographical reading session on noted diamond industrialist Shri Arun Mehta was organised jointly by the Central Library and Prin MC Shah Commerce College, both of which are part of Navgujarat Group of Colleges. The idea behind the event was to familiarise students with inspiring personalities and their life journeys.
Students were introduced to Mehta’s life, struggles and achievements, and his role in taking India’s diamond industry to global prominence. The session highlighted the values, perseverance and vision that shaped his success.
College alumnus Shri Kuldeep Parikh, attended the programme as a special guest and shared insights on Mehta’s contributions, encouraging students to draw inspiration from his journey. Students also participated actively in the discussion.
The programme was organised by Prof DB Bandiya, Dr Hetal Doshi, Dr Beena Patel and Prof Anil Datania, and conducted under the guidance of principal Dr ND Shah, who spoke about the distinctive aspects of Mr Arun Mehta’s personality.
