SwaRaksha Mahotsav 2026 Begins with Focus on Atmanirbhar Bharat and Strategic Innovation

Ahmedabad,21 May 2026: SwaRaksha Mahotsav 2026, a two-day Global Summit, Exhibition &

Awards platform focused on aerospace & defence, geospatial technologies, space, marine systems, unmanned technologies and homeland security, commenced successfully at Vigyan Bhawan, Ahmedabad on 21 May 2026.

Themed “Fostering Partnership for Security”, the Mahotsav brought together senior government officials, armed forces representatives, defence PSUs, global OEMs, startups, academia, policy experts and industry leaders to discuss India’s growing role in defence innovation, indigenisation and strategic partnerships.

The event was hosted by the Government of Gujarat through the Department of Science & Technology, Gujarat Council on Science & Technology (GUJCOST), and Gujarat Science City, co-hosted by the Survey of India, Government of India, and Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Department of Space, Government of India. The Mahotsav is being organized by the Trade Promotion Council for Geospatial and Space Industry (TPCGSI), New Delhi, and supported by various government organizations and institutions.

“SwaRaksha Mahotsav 2026 is envisioned as a transformative platform to strengthen India’s self-reliance in security, geospatial, and space technologies while fostering collaboration between industry, government, startups, academia, and innovators. Through this initiative, we aim to showcase indigenous capabilities, encourage innovation-driven partnerships, and accelerate the

adoption of cutting-edge technologies that contribute to national security and economic growth. The Mahotsav reflects our commitment to building a resilient ecosystem aligned with the vision of

Atmanirbhar Bharat and positioning India as a global leader in emerging strategic technologies.” Said Sanjay Singh (Adv.) – Founder & Director General, Trade Promotion Council for Geospatial and Space Industry.
