Gandhinagar, June 4: Under the chairmanship of Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, a high-level video conference on natural farming was held from Gandhinagar on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani, District Collectors, District Development Officers, and Municipal Commissioners from across the state.

The conference focused on strengthening Gujarat’s commitment to natural farming and expanding the movement across all districts through coordinated administrative efforts. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the scientific benefits of natural farming and called upon district and city administrators to actively engage with farmers and support the campaign in mission mode.

The Chief Minister highlighted that natural farming not only improves soil health and agricultural sustainability but also contributes significantly to the well-being of consumers by reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. He urged officials to become catalysts in spreading awareness among farmers and ensuring wider adoption of natural farming practices across Gujarat.
Referring to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister noted that the Prime Minister has consistently advocated large-scale adoption of natural farming as an essential step toward safeguarding human health, environmental sustainability, and the future of agriculture.
Bhupendra Patel also praised Governor Acharya Devvrat’s dedicated efforts in promoting natural farming throughout the state. He stated that the Governor has been personally visiting villages, interacting directly with farmers, and touring agricultural fields to inspire and motivate more farmers to join the people’s movement for natural farming.
Governor Acharya Devvrat reiterated the importance of transforming agriculture through eco-friendly and sustainable methods. He encouraged administrative officials to work closely with farming communities and ensure that government initiatives related to natural farming reach every village and farmer effectively.
The conference concluded with a collective resolve to intensify efforts for achieving wider adoption of natural farming in Gujarat and move steadily towards the goal of making the state a leader in sustainable and chemical-free agriculture.
