Gandhinagar: A fresh COVID-19 case has been reported in Gandhinagar, triggering precautionary measures by local health authorities. A woman who recently returned from the sacred Kedarnath pilgrimage has tested positive for the virus.
According to sources, the woman developed symptoms after returning from her religious journey and subsequently underwent medical testing, which confirmed the infection. Following the positive report, she was shifted to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital for treatment and observation.
As a preventive measure, health officials have initiated contact tracing and identified individuals who came into close contact with the patient. Those exposed have been placed under quarantine and are being monitored for any symptoms.
The development has prompted authorities to remain vigilant, although officials have urged citizens not to panic and to continue following basic health and hygiene protocols. Medical teams are closely monitoring the situation to prevent any further spread of the infection.
Health experts have once again advised travelers and pilgrims returning from crowded destinations to remain alert to symptoms and seek medical attention if required.
