New Delhi, August 17, 2026: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday announced the party’s new team of national office-bearers, bringing together experienced leaders and younger faces as part of a major organisational restructuring.
The newly announced team includes 13 national vice-presidents, eight national general secretaries and 16 national secretaries. The expansion is being seen as an effort to strengthen the party organisation and prepare it for upcoming electoral challenges.
Among the prominent appointments, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and senior leader Ram Madhav have been named national vice-presidents. Former Union Minister Smriti Irani has returned to a key organisational role as a national general secretary.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed the party’s national treasurer, while B. L. Santhosh continues as National General Secretary (Organisation). The new team also includes leaders representing different regions and social groups.
The BJP has also made changes to some organisational responsibilities. Deepak Mhaskey has been appointed social media convener, replacing Amit Malviya in the role. The new appointments reflect the party’s focus on organisational expansion, regional representation and strengthening its leadership structure.
The announcement marks an important step in Nitin Nabin’s leadership of the BJP as the party works to build its organisational machinery ahead of the next phase of the electoral cycle.
