New York: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel held a one-on-one meeting in New York with Ms. Samar Cohen, Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Development at BlackRock, a global leader in asset management and exchange-traded funds.
During the meeting, Ms. Cohen briefed the Chief Minister on BlackRock’s global operations and its role as a partner for rapidly developing economies. Headquartered in New York and established in 1998, BlackRock operates in more than 100 countries and provides services across asset management, digital investment platforms, risk management and infrastructure investment.
Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel highlighted the development of GIFT City International FinTech Hub in Gujarat, established under the inspiration and vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He outlined the world-class financial ecosystem being developed at GIFT City and invited BlackRock to rapidly expand its services and presence in GIFT City.
The Chief Minister also invited BlackRock to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Summit, highlighting Gujarat’s growing position as a global destination for financial services, investment and business opportunities.
