New Delhi, October 19, 2026: Former India international spinner Pragyan Ojha has been named the chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Men’s Selection Committee, succeeding Ajit Agarkar. The development follows the appointment of former India spinner Ramesh Powar as a new member of the five-member selection panel.
According to the BCCI’s official announcement, Ojha will chair the committee on the basis of seniority, determined by the number of Test matches played. The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), comprising Ashok Malhotra and Jatin Paranjape, conducted the selection process and unanimously recommended Powar’s appointment.
