‘I’ movie promotion in Mumbai by magical trio of Vikram, Rahman and Shankar

On Monday, in Mumbai Songs of thriller ‘I’ movie was released to media amidst film makers, Director Shankar Shanmugam, south super star Vikram, musical geniusĀ  A R Rahman were present at the press to watch release of unseen footage of ‘I movie and interact with media. Also present were, Art Director, Mutthu, and DOP along with Dancing sensation Bosco.

Director Shankar was happy to announce that ‘I’ movie’s song had 5 million hits on YouTube which gives indication of movie to be a sure success. He shared the information that it took 3 years to make this movie. Director Shankar had given super hit movie like Robot and Nayak. 15 years back he had discussed scratch version of the movie with Rahman.

Vikram while answering media questions said that preparing for movie physically took him 3 years and 3 hours of make-up. Removing make-up took 1 & half hours, but then it became routine. He said as a special preparation we engaged body builders across India, trained them for action sequences. I had to loose 20 Kg of weight, with lot of tips from my trainers and dietic control. Infact, my friend helped me to prepare for this physic. I am playing 4 different roles in the movie. I like challenges so I do this roles which I am really not. If any challenging role from Hindi movie, if he is offered then he would love ‘Gabbar’s role to be played.

Art director,Mutthu said getting very colorful sets with many scenes in one shot was a challenge for me.

DOP of the movie was greatful for the opportunity to work with Director Shankar.

Rahman composed 3 songs for the movie in a weeks time, after hearing final storyline from Shankar. Rahman said that 2014 was eventful year with many Hollywood and Bollywood films.

Choreographer Bosco too was greatful to director and team for the opportunity to work with them.
