Today ECI Election Commission of India has adopted a new strategy to register and update voter details during Navratri Festival.
In wake of upcoming Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017, ECI has decided to deploy team during 8 to 11 pm by setting up a Special Helpdesk Kiosk at GMDC ground for facilitation of new voters completing 18 years by 31/12/2017. At GMDC ground maximum youth turn up during Navratri festival. Form No 6 for youth completing 18 years by 31/12/2017 could be filled to register as a new voter.
In addition to GMDC ground, Helpdesk Kiosk would be setup at famous Clubs, Party Plots including LD College, LJ College, Rajpath, Karnavti Club, YMCA and other popular Navratri Garba sites. Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017 are scheduled by this year end. Even, option of removing or adding name in voter’s list would be possible at Helpdesk.
The facility will be established for Voter Awareness Campaign by Election Commission of India.
