Today in Surendranagar, Scam of door to door garbage collection busted. Three contractors have been served with notice and blacklisted by Surendranagar Municipal Corporation.
Contractors used to fill mud and stone in the door to door garbage collection van. They were paid Rs 1,100 for 1 ton of garbage. When it was checked by authority at dumping site, lot of irregularities were reported.
Two garbage van were taken into custody of authority.
