Heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat as per IMD

Heavy to very heavy rains forecast in Gujarat for tomorrow and Sunday,Orange Alert sounded for two days in entire state.
Red Alert on both the days in Aravalli, Banaskantha, Mahisagar and Diu. Rising water levels in state rivers also posing threat of flood situation
It has been raining well in several parts of Gujarat including Ahmedabad and Surat for the last two days. It was little sunny this afternoon, but the round of thunderstorms is not over yet. According to IMD Indian Meteorological Department Gujarat is expected to receive heavy rains during August 22 to 23 on Saturday and Sunday. At present stage, a systematic low-pressure has been created in the skies of East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh and it is likely to move towards the western part of Madhya Pradesh in the coming days. Due to which IMD kept entire state of Gujarat on orange alert for these two days. Posing fear of flooding again with two days of heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat
Given the weather conditions, heavy rains are likely in most parts of Gujarat till next Sunday, August 23, as well as neighboring Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan. It will lash heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat on Saturday and Sunday as per Indian Meteorological Department in its forecast. Based on the IMD forecast, entire state, including all areas of Gujarat administration, on orange alert on Saturday and Sunday. All over Gujarat including northern, central and southern parts of Gujarat, parts of Saurashtra and Kutch likely to get heavy to very heavy rains. Not only that, if the downpour starts on Saturday morning, the alert level may rise by noon and reach the red warning sign. In the event of a red alert, people are urged to take adequate precautionary measures to protect against heavy rains. Also instruct people to make adequate preparations for heavy rains on both days.
