During Diwali and other festivals, fireworks can be set off from 8 pm to 10 pm in night as well as during Christmas and New Year festivities from 11:55 pm to 12:30 am.
According to a notification issued by Home Department, production and sell of fireworks other than those approved by Supreme Court as well as green fireworks has been banned. Noise making and pollution spreading crackers cannot be fired.
Only licensed store holders can sell fireworks. Instructions have been issued against vendors, lorries and vendors who do not obtain fireworks licenses on a permanent or temporary basis or those who sell fireworks on a temporary basis.
Also, Online sale of fireworks on E-Commerce websites has been banned.
